Help Me Purchase A New Laptop

MacBook-Air-vs-Sony-Vaio-X505

My hard drive died last night in my desktop. Three weeks ago, I broke the screen on my netbook. Also, two weeks ago, I broke the screen on my smartphone. I’m not having luck with electronics lately, is what I’m trying to say.  Unfortunately, (or fortunately, considering how much I have to replace) I’ve been getting a couple excellent contracts in to do website work.  That means I need to have my hard drive replaced in my desktop, as well [Click Comments To Continue]

This Blog Is An Investment In My Future

make-money-blog-website

So last night I went to my parents for dinner, mostly because my mom bribed me with goulash which is my favorite dish she makes.  Sitting out on the deck after dinner with my Dad, we got onto the discussion of my blog because I posted about him a couple days ago.  I explained to him my grande plan for this blog and why I spent so much time on it. You see, eventually, I want this blog to make me money.  I mean, it makes me money right now (albeit, [Click Comments To Continue]

This Week Will Be The Death of Me

juggle

This week will most likely be the death of me.  Everything is up in the air and crazy, and I feel like I’m all over the place.  This is not totally unusual for me because I typically make a lot of mistakes in life and then have to correct for them – what is unusual is that there is actually none of this that is my fault. First, my wallet grew legs and walked away at the client site.  I’ve been running around without an ID and haven’t had time [Click Comments To Continue]

My Job Creates the Week from Hell

project-manager-forms

I rarely talk about what I do professionally on here – mostly because I like to keep my professional life off the internet.  It doesn’t do to air your frustrations out on a blog that is public record for everyone to see.  However, I have to vent today about my job and what I do.   First off – I’m a project manager for software installations.  Technically my title is business analyst but I’m doing a lot less analyzing and a lot more project management [Click Comments To Continue]

The Last Day

lastday

Today is my bosses last day at the company.  Well, technically, if he knew I was calling him my boss he’d correct me and say that he is not in fact my boss, but he is just a guy that I sometimes take direction from.  In a way he’s actually right – he is not just a boss.  He has been so much more than that in the short amount of time I’ve worked with him and I can honestly say that I am crushed he is leaving the company. In my work history, I’ve [Click Comments To Continue]

Moving On Up To The East Side

refurb-1b

So, at my office, I’ve been sitting in the tiny cube next to the kitchen.  That was the cube I was given when I started the company, and I haven’t really complained about it because well, I was the lowly new hire.  There were a couple things that were wrong with this cube though… 1.  It was by the kitchen.  Actually, it was right outside the kitchen.  This meant that any time anyone cooked something I was assulted by the smells.  When it [Click Comments To Continue]

Things I Hate About Me – Part 1

start_over

Last night I was talking to Zack about things I hated about myself – not the superficial shit like the fact that my nose is a little too big for my face, or the fact that I have a scar on my right boob from a surgery in college…  I was talking about the things about myself that really bother me that I can’t change. Specifically, we were discussing my unique ability to always see the truth in a situation even when it’s hidden under a pile of [Click Comments To Continue]

Why I Became a Pampered Chef Consultant

pampered_chef

About 90 days ago I decided to become a Pampered Chef consultant.  Technically, according to the Pampered Chef handbook we’re not allowed to blog about the Pampered Chef, but today I was reading a couple of blog posts like this one and I decided to go ahead and write a blog about why I decided to do Pampered Chef, what it’s really like, and what you can truly expect if you become a Pampered Chef representative. The Decision to Join Pampered Chef First, [Click Comments To Continue]

Introducing Your Newest Pampered Chef Consultant

mini-lasagna-cups-15

So about two weeks ago I decided to make the leap into being a pampered chef consultant.  There’s a couple of reasons why I did it, the first one being that I love cooking in the kitchen as you can see from all my posts on recipes out there and the fact that I absolutely love their products.  They are simple to use, easy to clean, and help you work more efficiently in the kitchen.   For instance, I am totally in love with the Microplane Adjustable [Click Comments To Continue]

How To Get A Free Pizza

As some of you may know, Zack is a cable guy.  (Insert lame jokes here)  Basically, any time you call the cable company to come fix your cable because something is wrong – Zack is the guy who shows up.  (Or anyone else on his team.)  Zack’s been doing this for about 5 years now, and every day that he works at the cable company, our evening is basically the same – I get home around 5:30 – nap until he gets home at 7 or 8, and he tells me about [Click Comments To Continue]
