How To Handle Bad News

Yes - all of this, for about $12. E.L.F rocks!

This morning I woke up to some pretty bad news.  Well, not bad news, more news that made me go WTF at the people I used to associate with.  So, how did I handle this?

1.  Wake up your roommate and best friend and chain smoke on the balcony while talking about life for a while.  I realize from this that I am truly, truly blessed to have Katina in my life and I’m glad that the damage I did while I was dating [redacted] wasn’t permanent   Mostly because we are awesome roommates, and it’s awesome to live with your best friend.

2.  You go shopping with your best friend, because retail therapy is the bomb.  I got three new shirts and three pairs of jeans for $50.  Amazing!

3.  You go to lunch with the best friend and her finance.  Greasy fried chicken is so soul food.

4.  You go to Target and replace all your make up with E.L.F for about $12.

Yes – all of this, for about $12. E.L.F rocks!

5. The you reorganize your closet to fit all the new clothes, clean your bathroom to fit all the new make up, get in the shower and put your hair in curlers to sleep in. Because you know what, you are awesome, and should look awesome in your new clothes with your new make up.

Love my soft curlers, I should use them more often.

6. You post all of this on your blog, because it’s National Blog Posting Month, and you despite starting out with a shitty day, you had an awesome one.

I’ve never used curlers in my life… you must post an “after” picture tomorrow!

What? You’ve never used soft curlers? They are SO awesome. I love them. Takes 10 minutes to put them in, 10 minutes to take them out in the morning and your hair is so curly and beautiful! :)

      • Marit

Ha. My hair would be curly for about 2 minutes and then would be straight before I left the house

No! That’s the best part about soft curlers overnight – instead of like heat curlers. When I use heat curlers my hair falls flat the minute it’s not straight, but when I do overnight ones, it dries that way, and stays that way most of the day!

          • Marit

You have not met the challenge of my hair. It lives to be straight

            • Marit

In fact, if you can get my hair to hold a curl for more than an hour, I will buy you dinner

Okay, one night I will come over and lend you my soft curlers and put it up. You have to sleep in them, so do it like 2 hours before bed so you have them in for 10 hours, then blow dry it in the morning. :)

                • Marit

                  Deal. I will even cook.

Mannn, won’t even tell us the bad news? I feel jipped! I wanna be angry with you… and then awesome again :)

LOL, just backstabby friend stuff. It’s not even worth mentioning because they aren’t worth my time :)

I can totally relate on that one! Movin’ on! ;)
