Seven Years of Brew Fests, Come to an End

Yesterday, I went to the Northern Virginia Brewfest with my Dad. It was definitely a bittersweet experience because I’ve been going to the brewfest’s with my dad since I turned 21. In fact, our first one was on my 21st birthday.

As I’ve mentioned before, my parents are retiring in December. They have already sold the house they’ve lived in for 28 years, and the only house I’ve ever known. They have packed up most of the things they own, and half the things that I’m getting have already moved to my house. Those things kind of hit home – but really, going to the last brewfest yesterday was even worse in the whole, “I’m going to miss my Dad” department.
