So uh, as you may have known if you follow me, I wrote a novel. This is a fairly impressive feat for me for two reasons:
1. I have the attention span of a gnat. When I first started this blog Ashley even told me she didn’t think I’d make it a month. Yet here I am, publishing my own novel.
2. It’s been a life long dream of mine. It’s not one that I actually perused with any seriousness until a month ago, and now I’ve done it. So, I can check that off my bucket list.
As such, to celebrate, I’m doing two things:
1. I wrote a short story called “The Necklace” which is set in the same universe as the Abandon Series and gives a deeper introduction to the two main characters. All you peoples with Kindles out there will be happy to know that today only, The Necklace is free on Amazon. For those of you who have Amazon Prime, you can check it out to your kindle library at any time.
2. This week, I’ll be doing an introspective blog series on the history of my writing. This will include my first story I wrote (in second grade) and a couple other writing samples I have throughout the years. I promise you, these will be completely hilarious (especially for those of you who have kids).
At any rate, here it is, time for my shameless self promotion:
Annalise never thought she’d live to see the apocalypse, but after the 2012 election she finds herself in a world that is falling apart. Riots are occurring everywhere and when her ex-boyfriend Cort texts her with an escape plan, she accepts the invite and follows him to the mountains of Western Maryland.
Once they make it to their destination though, everything is not as it seems. The power has gone out, cell phone service is non-existent, and the six friends find themselves trapped in a vacation home with no way to discover what is going on elsewhere in the United States.
Turns out, they might not really want to know after all…
Hope you all enjoy it. And don’t be too harsh on the reviews, okay?
