Next week, the boyfriend and I are going to the Outer Banks, North Carolina for a week long vacation.  (This is humorous, because one of the first conversations I had with him when we became a couple was that I hated couples vacations and I had never had a good one – so if we come back broken up, you know what happened.)

I have one goal while I’m there – and that’s to go out in the ocean and swim with the migrating dolphins.  In fact, it’s one of the reasons I picked this week – because my parents and I always went this week when I was a child, and there were always dolphins off the coast.  Of course – my mom used to stop me from going out to touch them because, OMG WILD DOLPHIN and I’m apparently not a very strong swimmer in her mind.  (HRMPH!)

However, after seeing the picture below, I’m rethinking my orignal plan.  Perhaps I should find a boat to take me out to where they are, and get close that way.
