This Friday, we’re going to talk up make-up. Specifically, how to get the model look for way cheaper. Most people think that good make up products require you to drop a ton of cash, and until recently I did too. In fact, I spent most of my make-up money on Lancome – which doesn’t get you very far. See, I have really oily skin and it’s difficult for me to have make up that doesn’t make me break out.
That was until Chloe introduced me to E.L.F. E.L.F products are great for my complexion, as well as not breaking my admittedly small make-up fund.
Let’s talk some products:
E.L.F Tinted Moisturizer: This stuff is amazing! It has a tint in it, so you can use it to cover your face and give it the moisture it needs, without caking all over your face. In fact, when I’m running low on time, I can actually just throw this on with a little mascara and have a “just freshly showered” look. It’s great!
E.L.F Shimmering Facial Whip: This gives you a fresh glow without caking on the grease. Combine it with the moisturizer for a fresh look without feeling like you pounds on make-up on your face.
E.L.F Regular and Waterproof Mascara: Okay, I want you to look at this product very, very, very carefully. It’s waterproof, it’s regular, and it’s two in one. That’s right, you can throw this in your purse and be ready for any occasion. Best thing about it, it’s only $1.
They also have fabulous makeup gifts for the holidays that are coming up. You really can’t beat the prices on this 24k makeup collection and they would be perfect for any of your girlfriends stocking stuffers.
All and all, the basic jist is this, you can spend $300 at your department store for your name brand make up, or you can online and order E.L.F products which are just as high quality for 1/10th of the price. Really, it’s kind of a no brainer.
What is your favorite make-up brand?

I’ve never tried elf stuff! I will have to look out for it. There are some products that I tend to spend a lot on, like mascara (lancome), lip gloss (clinique), and eyeliner (urban decay). Any time I try drugstore brands for these products, it’s a big miss.
As for drugstore products I really like the Physicians Formula bronzer (seriously, it’s fantastic), and maybelline eyeshadow quads.
I was just telling Steph: Hautelook.com is having an ELF sale right now, if you didn’t know already! It’s free to join.
I have never tried ELF cosmetics but have heard a ton about them. I’m with you on spending too much stuff on other brands. Will certainly check it out.

I saw this week in Target’s Black Friday ad, they will be selling one of the huge sets of ELF eye shadow for very cheap!
I’m hoping to grab another one for a gift when I’m out!
I also must recommend the cream eyeliner. That stuff is insane. Stays on all day!
I love E.L.F. – it really is great and at those prices, nothing can really compare!
